As a Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Contributing to a dynamic team that provides consulting, advisory, and tax compliance services to a variety of clients engaged in digital assets and blockchain technology.
• Engaging directly with clients to offer strategic advice on digital asset transactions.
• Acting in a controller capacity for entities dealing with digital assets, including managing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury activities.
• Researching complex regulatory, accounting, and tax compliance issues, and identifying potential tax planning strategies.
• Overseeing client engagements, ensuring satisfaction, and mentoring junior staff.
• Keeping abreast of emerging tax issues and trends in the digital asset landscape.
• Occasionally working extended hours or traveling as needed to client locations or other firm offices.
Basic qualifications include:
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting and tax experience, preferably within a public accounting firm.
Preferred qualifications include:
• A CPA designation is preferred.
• Experience with digital asset and blockchain technologies, including staking, mining, DeFi, derivatives, lending/borrowing, NFTs, and Web3.0.
• Familiarity with major digital asset exchanges, wallets, and blockchain protocols, with the capability to trace transactions using blockchain analytics tools.
• Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.
• A strong understanding of tax issues related to digital assets and knowledge of GAAP as it pertains to digital assets.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and cloud-based software such as QBO, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
