Job Title: Big Data Admin
Location: North Chicago, IL
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform initial installation and host new Hadoop cluster across DEV, QA and PROD environments
• Provide Linux admin support and Perform infrastructure sizing
• Add & configure Hadoop services e.g. hive, hbase, Kafka, hdfs, etc.
• available with Cloudera distribution of Hadoop and Integrate application tools like SAS, R, python with Hadoop clusters and Perform code migration to QA
• Production environment (project-based support) Provide Cloudera big data cluster administration support.
• Provide support on configuration and platform related issues faced by development team and Monitor cluster and environment (Dev, QA and PROD) to make sure it is running with optimal performance
• Perform tasks, such as install, configure, and upgrade and apply patches provided by third party vendor, Cloudera, Administer security, storage and objects of Hadoop cluster, User management
