Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
- Assist in data preparation, blending, and transformation for visualization.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboards, data sources, and performance.
- Ensure dashboards follow best practices for usability, performance, and design.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data from various sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, etc.).
- Document dashboard designs, data flows, and development processes.
- Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and BI trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Polytechnic Diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience with Tableau Desktop (certification is a plus).
- Basic understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design.
- Familiarity with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Exposure to data modelling, ETL processes, or BI tools is a bonus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tableau (calculations, parameters, LOD expressions).
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Excel or other data analysis tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with non-technical teams.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Tableau Server/Online (publishing, scheduling, permissions).
- Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis.
- Knowledge of GitHub, GitLab
- Knowledge of Elixir Reports (Designing reports, scheduling Reports and deployment)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with Big Data Technology (Spark, Hadoop)
- Familiarity with Java and JavaScript
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
