AWS - Cloud Automation Specialist
Aequilibrium is a digital innovation consultancy that helps organizations design and deliver secure, scalable technology solutions. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Automation Specialist to join us for an exciting 12 month project to support the ongoing enhancement, automation, and scaling of enterprise cloud landing zone capabilities.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving secure, repeatable cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on automation, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Expectations
Lead the development and continuous improvement of cloud landing zone and automation capabilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable secure and consistent deploymentsSupport onboarding processes, including account provisioning and standardized infrastructure patternsEnhance monitoring, alerting, and cost-management capabilitiesContribute to hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity initiativesPrepare technical documentation and provide structured knowledge transferPresent technical concepts and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate within Agile or Scrum delivery teams
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with AWS in large or enterprise environmentsExperience with Terraform and TerragruntExperience using GitHub and CI/CD workflows such as GitHub ActionsStrong documentation, communication, and presentation skillsExperience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Assets
Experience working with provincial or federal governmentExperience with AWS Direct ConnectExposure to Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft AzureExperience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud architectures
Certifications (Considered an Asset)

Compensation
Compensation range: $100, 000 - $140,000 per year.
Final rate will be based on experience, qualifications, and alignment with role requirements.
Location
Aequilibrium is a remote-first organization. Preference may be given to candidates residing in British Columbia. The ability to work PST hours is required.
