As the Analyst for the Investor Ecosystem at Spring you will support the Chief Experience Officer to assess, quantify and report on ventures in our programs and The Collective. In this role you will provide support to the entire Investor Ecosystem team by conducting and supporting diligence on a healthy pipeline of purpose driven, pre-seed and seed stage impact focused companies led by a diverse set of founders. As an Analyst you will drive the growth of the Investor Ecosystem department by ensuring standards for due diligence and reporting on companies in the pipeline are met and maintaining and defining systems to do this work. You will also provide support directly to portfolio companies for Spring’s operating company. Departmental initiatives are aligned with the organization's values and business objectives. This role is a support role that reports directly into the Chief Experience Officer. What you will be doing: - Developing venture appraisals and investor memos using internal tools - Using internal financial modeling tools to develop a clear analysis of companies in diligence for Spring’s angel investor network - Managing a consistent screening process - Providing analysis on the quantitative and qualitative aspects of companies in the pipeline from Spring’s angel network - Structuring backend systems to easily share, update and manage key documents for a growing number of portfolio companies - Supporting the Investor Ecosystem’s programs by providing support to Program managers, Directors and program participants through the due diligence process - Preparing monthly pipeline reports - Preparing and delivering quarterly portfolio company reports - Collaborating with Spring’s program and marketing teams to develop tools for team members and a community of investors - Supporting Chief Experience Officer and senior leaders by preparing and collating key documents required to form Special Purpose Vehicles and direct investments - Assisting with deal mechanics and closes as needed - Curious about early-stage companies (across variety of sectors) and comfort working with diverse founders - Comfort requesting / sharing information with startup founders, teams and investors We are a match if you are: - Passionate about impact and making the world better than it is today - Experience with HubSpot, Notion, Slack, and GSuite - A Bachelor’s degree is an asset - Background in math or engineering - Strong preference for analytical excellence - Proficiency in Excel - Adept in preparing analysis documents and presentations - Experienced in engaging with founders and investors - Comfortable working independently and collaborating cross-functionally - Demonstrates operational, organizational, and analytical prowess - Exceptionally organized with a demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities according to changing demands - Possess a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy Compensation: - This is a full-time position with a salary of $65,000, with participation in Spring’s annual Bonus Plan. - Access to Spring’s Benefits Package including: - An $800 home office expense allowance - A $1,000 health stipend prorated for the year - Support for professional development programs - 15 days of paid vacation, 5 personal health days, and 11 BC holidays.
