• *Main responsibilities**:
- Monitor data quality issues with BNY and work with the vendor to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work with internal teams and BNY to investigate and identify the root cause of data problems, and develop solutions to avoid similar problems.
- Participate in the implementation, testing and documentation of new data points.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement new data quality controls and test these controls to ensure they are effective in improving data quality.
- Monitor KPIs related to data quality, such as completeness, accuracy and timeliness, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in data-related projects, such as legacy data migrations and new system implementations, to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate on data management documentation, including internal and external processes, data dictionaries, schema diagrams and data traceability documentation.
• *Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, information technology or related field
- 2+ years' experience in data analysis, data quality or data management
- Knowledge of financial markets and different types of assets (stocks, bonds, derivatives, private investment, etc.) is required
- Knowledge of SQL and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Python and Power BI is required
- Experience working with the Eagle interface and data model
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze datasets with a view to quality monitoring and continuous improvement
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate between teams and with external vendors
- Excellent oral and written skills in French and English, due to frequent interactions with internal colleagues and French and English-speaking partners across Canada
