Job Description:
On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Product Owner based in the lower mainland for a Hybrid contract role:
This organization is running a 6-month AI pilot focused on proving the value and efficiency gains of AI tools such as GPT and Copilot. They are seeking a senior, business-facing functional resource who can work directly with business teams to evaluate AI use cases and support the setup of an internal AI enablement practice.
This is not a technical development role. It is a product owner–style position with a strong emphasis on business engagement, project and change management, training, and benefits measurement.
Experience Requirements
• 7+ years in Product Ownership, Product Management, Senior Business Analysis, Program/Project Management, or similar roles leading business-facing initiatives.
• 2+ years of hands-on applied AI experience, focused on business use cases, benefit measurement, and supporting adoption of tools such as GPT or Copilot.
• Strong change management and stakeholder enablement experience, with a proven ability to drive training, communication, and adoption across non-technical business groups. Key Responsibilities
1. AI Use Case Evaluation
• Work with business teams to document current workflows.
• Define how AI tools will be applied to each use case.
• Identify, measure, and report efficiency gains.
• Support preparation of the final AI pilot report (due mid-July).
2. Build the AI Enablement Function
• Help establish an internal AI enablement team.
• Support the creation of:
• Policies
• Standards
• Training materials
• Communication plans
• Change management processes
• Partner closely with internal Communications and Learning & Development teams.
3. Product Ownership & Business Engagement
• Act as a functional lead and product owner for AI initiatives.
• Ensure business readiness and successful adoption.
• Coordinate activities across teams using primarily internal resources.
• Maintain alignment with senior leadership.
