About the Role:
We are looking for a professional, dependable, and highly motivated Security Officer to protect and represent a high-profile commercial property in downtown Houston. This site includes a Class-A high-rise office tower and a luxury restaurant frequented by high-level executives, clients, and VIP guests.

Key Responsibilities:
• Access Control: Monitor entrances/exits, check credentials, and ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
• Patrols: Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the building, restaurant premises, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Customer Service: Greet tenants, employees, and guests professionally; provide directions and assistance as needed.
• Incident Response: Respond to emergencies (medical, fire, disturbance) and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Surveillance Monitoring: Watch live security feeds and review footage when necessary to detect suspicious behavior or breaches.
• Report Writing: Document incidents, daily activity logs, and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Support Restaurant Operations: Monitor crowds during busy dining hours, assist with line control or disputes, and ensure customer safety.
• Enforce Policies: Ensure building and restaurant policies are upheld respectfully and consistently.
Preferred Experience and Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional security role, preferably in a commercial, high-rise, or hospitality environment
• Must live within 20 miles of job site (Zip Code: 77010)
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• NO neck, face, or below-the-wrist tattoos (must be fully covered while on duty)
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and respond quickly in emergencies
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus
Preferred Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Security Guard License (state-specific) required.
• 1+ year of security experience in a commercial, hospitality, or high-rise setting preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
