The Accountant Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance department by performing accurate data entry, maintaining financial records, and preparing tabulated reports. This role ensures that accounting data is correctly recorded, organized, and available for reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting systems (invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries).
• Maintain and update accounting records and ledgers.
• Compile, organize, and tabulate financial data for reporting purposes.
• Assist in preparing periodic financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly, or as required).
• Verify and reconcile data entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support the accounting team in audits, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Ensure all records are filed systematically for easy retrieval.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with company financial policies.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification).
• At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Singapore accounting standards and basic tax regulations is an advantage.
• Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
