Duties
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the facility and detect any suspicious behavior
• Control access to the premises by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies using conflict management skills and first aid knowledge when necessary
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during critical situations or investigations
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping
Qualifications
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
• Certification in first aid and CPR to effectively assist in medical emergencies
• Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with security protocols and emergency response procedures
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public
