Quality Assurance & Inventory Control Associate Full-time, Onsite Markham, Ontario, Canada Our client is a licensed producer (LP) focused on the manufacturing and processing of medical cannabis products. They are seeking a Quality Assurance & Inventory Control Associate to support regulated QA operations and inventory control activities across manufacturing and processing functions. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting quality systems, and ensuring compliance with Health Canada regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in quality assurance within a regulated environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with inventory systems, documentation, and cross-functional teams. This position requires being full-time onsite at the company’s Markham facility during Monday-Friday daytime business hours. MUST HAVE previous professional experience in quality assurance within a regulated industry (Cannabis, NHP, cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical). MUST HAVE hands-on experience with inventory control processes and inventory management systems. MUST HAVE strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. MUST HAVE the ability to work onsite in Markham, Ontario area during standard business hours (Monday–Friday). Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Inventory Control • Daily management of cannabis inventory, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Extract inventory data using inventory management software (e.g., Fishbowl or similar) and analyze data using Excel. • Support preparation of monthly inventory and regulatory reports for internal use and external submission. • Support QA operations to maintain compliance with Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, GPP standards, and internal quality policies. • Assist with batch record review, verification, and QA documentation activities. • Support product release processes under established procedures and QA oversight. • Maintain and support document control and Quality Management System (QMS) activities (e.g., Isolocity or similar). • Support preparation for audits and regulatory inspections. General QA & Operational Support • Review, file, and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and supporting quality documentation. • Assist with incoming material inspections and vendor qualification activities. • Support investigations related to inventory discrepancies, non-conformances, and customer complaints.. • Maintain accurate QA and inventory records, logs, and trackers. • Coordinate with Operations, Production, and Supply Chain teams to support compliant workflows. Qualifications & Requirements • 1–2 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance and/or Inventory Control within a regulated environment (Cannabis GPP, cGMP, NHP, cosmetics, or similar). • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Biotechnology), or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered. • Practical experience supporting quality systems, documentation control, and compliance-driven processes. • Experience working with inventory management software (e.g., Fishbowl or similar) and reconciling inventory data. • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as Isolocity or comparable platforms. • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and basic data analysis. • General understanding of Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, GMP/GPP principles, and regulated manufacturing environments is an asset. • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment. • Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to learn. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. • Ability to work onsite in Markham, Ontario, Monday–Friday. • Clean criminal record (background checks required prior to start) Compensation In compliance with Ontario Pay Transparency legislation, the expected salary range for this role is $50,000 – $55,000 annually + 15 vacation days + medical & dental benefits, commensurate with experience.
