As a security guard at the Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of guests, colleagues, and hotel property. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment in accordance with hotel policies and local regulations while providing exceptional service that meets IHG brand standards. Your daily tasks: - Patrol all areas of the hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and staff. - Monitor surveillance equipment and access control systems. - Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, such as fire alarms, medical situations, harassment, or unauthorized persons on hotel premises. - Assist in investigating theft, suspicious activities, and accidents. - Maintain clear and accurate logs and incident reports. - Escort guests or staff as required. - Ensure all fire and safety equipment is operational and report maintenance issues. - Enforce hotel rules and regulations, ensuring they are carried out respectfully and professionally. - Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as necessary. - Assist with crowd control during events or high traffic times. - Monitor and control access to staff areas, loading docks, and parking areas. - Support regular fire safety drills and health and safety audits. We require you to have: - High school diploma or equivalent. - At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a hotel or customer service field. - Basic knowledge of first aid, fire safety, and emergency response. - Ability to operate security systems and surveillance equipment. - Physically fit, able to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle situations professionally.
