Job Description: Vice President, Associate General Counsel - Digital Assets and Blockchain Overview Join our innovative Asset Management Legal Team as a Vice President, Associate General Counsel focusing on digital assets and blockchain technologies. This is a unique opportunity to lead in the development of asset management products and services that incorporate cryptocurrencies and tokenization. In this key role, you will collaborate closely with the Fidelity Digital Asset Management business group, our Asset Management Legal team, and the broader Fidelity Legal Group, alongside various business units. Your contributions will be vital in structuring and shaping cutting-edge cryptocurrency and blockchain-enabled products that enhance investment strategies, operations, and client services for proprietary and employee accounts. Your Expertise and Skills • J.D. required; must be an active member in good standing with the relevant State Bar Associations. • 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, including backgrounds in both law firm and in-house settings. • Strong grasp of U.S. federal securities laws and regulations, including critical legislation such as the Securities Act of 1933 and the Investment Company Act. • Extensive knowledge of blockchain technology applications in financial services, including stablecoins, trading, custody, staking, payments, and DeFi. • Experience with technology startups and innovative ventures is a plus. • Exceptional communication skills to clearly and practically articulate complex legal issues. • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and develop creative solutions in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated capability to foster strong relationships both within the organization and externally. • Efficient management of outside counsel to deliver high-quality legal services in a cost-effective manner. The Role • Deliver expert legal, regulatory, and strategic guidance for Fidelity Digital Asset Management's offerings in cryptocurrency and blockchain. • Support the growth and daily operations of asset management products that integrate digital assets and blockchain technology. • Advise on new business initiatives, tracking the evolving legal landscape, and ensuring regulatory compliance. • Assess emerging technologies related to digital assets and associated financial service products. The base salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $285,000 USD annually, depending on responsibilities, geographic location, and experience. Beyond the base salary, our total compensation package includes bonuses and other variable compensation.
