About the Role
Join a leading Data Center team and play a critical role in ensuring smooth and secure network operations on-site. As an On-site Network Engineer, you will collaborate closely with infrastructure partners, manage maintenance and build-out projects, and be hands-on in troubleshooting network incidents to keep our data center running at peak performance.
What You’ll Do
• Audit and review maintenance programs with Data Center infrastructure partners to ensure operational excellence.
• Supervise and participate in Data Hall build-outs, ensuring all technical specifications and safety regulations are met.
• Manage change processes for high-risk maintenance activities on campus to minimize downtime.
• Assist in troubleshooting network incidents, including handling external issues like dark fiber cuts.
• Conduct regular inspections of network infrastructure and deliver detailed daily reports.
Who We’re Looking For
T2 On-site Engineer (1-3 years experience)
• Skilled in standardizing processes and coordinating resources to solve complex problems.
• Proficient in server maintenance: fault diagnosis, component replacement, firmware upgrades, and FRU flashing.
• Comfortable working with Linux OS and common CLI commands; knowledgeable in BIOS/BMC configurations.
• Experienced with network devices and able to troubleshoot and resolve network faults independently.
• Capable of handling moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision.
• Able to mentor new team members in skills and processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant professional education or certifications preferred.
T3 Senior On-site Engineer (3-5 years experience)
• Expert in process development and quality control with specialized technical insight.
• Extensive server maintenance experience, handling complex fault analysis and component replacements independently.
• Strong network maintenance skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
• Proven mentorship abilities to guide junior engineers and promote professional growth.
• Excellent team management and coordination skills; able to support supervisors in managing projects.
• Demonstrated learning agility and potential for leadership roles.
• Relevant professional background and prior team management experience desirable.
