Job Overview
Epic Games is seeking a UX Director to lead the user experience vision and strategy for its portfolio of products. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading product design teams and a strong portfolio of shipped products across mobile, web, and/or gaming platforms.
The UX Director will define and drive the UX vision and strategy, manage and mentor a team of product designers, and partner with executive leadership to present design strategies and progress updates. They will also foster collaboration across product, engineering, research, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality player experiences.
This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and people-management skills, as well as a strong understanding of end-to-end product design. The successful candidate will have a passion for games, creativity, and shaping experiences that bring joy to millions of players and creators.
Responsibilities:
• Define and Drive UX Vision and Strategy: Lead the development of UX design principles, guidelines, and standards that align with company goals and objectives.
• Manage and Mentor Design Team: Oversee a team of product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and career development opportunities to help them grow and succeed.
• Partner with Executive Leadership: Present design strategies, user insights, and progress updates to executive leaders, influencing decision-making and ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Foster Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality player experiences that meet business goals and technical constraints.
