Automation Engineer
The Automation Engineer will maintain the optimal performance of automated and robotic systems through efficient implementation, operation, and maintenance.
• Utilize CAD knowledge to identify mechanical roadblocks and generate solutions by designing custom components or integrating off-the-shelf components into existing and future systems.
• Minimize downtime for robotic and automated systems and execute corrections.
• Troubleshoot electrical cabinets and identify components using electrical drawings.
• Serve as a technical resource for the manufacturing staff and supervision regarding automation and robotics.
• Analyze performance data proactively and recommend data-driven upgrades that demonstrate a high level of investment return.
• Modify existing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), or electrical schematics.
Requirements
• Engineering or Technology degree.
• 2D/3D CAD knowledge - Autodesk (Fusion/Inventor) preferred.
• PLC Systems (Rockwell Studio5000) and Architecture.
• 3+ years' work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technology comparable technical roles, chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
• MS Office Suite.
