This individual will work onsite at least two days per week (more depending on project load) due to required access to specialized, high-value test equipment. It is a 30/hour a week schedule. Monday - Thursday The Systems Test team is responsible for specifications of validation plans, automated test development as well as the timely execution of those plans in the context of the product V&V and general testing. The team is responsible for the system verification of the whole cochlear implant system including external and implanted components to assure the highest safety standards according to Medical Class 3 specifications and to assure a high environmental robustness and reliability. Main Tasks & Responsibilities: A. Primary Function Execute various systems test that verify performance of cochlear implant systems and accessories. Assuring exceptional product quality by providing timely feedback of activities problems etc. B. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Embedded Software Testing: • Execute test that verify the implement optimized signal processing and data acquisition algorithms supporting testing of speech processing strategies for cochlear implant processing • Execute test software associated with next generation cochlear implant systems and provide the results of test to the Systems Test Engineers. • Provide detailed reports of the results of the executed test. 2. Lab Organization: • Manage the collection and return of all calibrated test equipment used in the department. • Order necessary equipment required for department use. C. Specialized Knowledge & Skills 1. Familiarity with digital and analog hardware circuits 2. Ability to work with cross functional groups to debug and troubleshoot systems issues 3. Familiarity with .NET/C# programming is a plus. 4. LabVIEW programming experience is a plus. D. Experience The candidate shall have at least 2 years’ experience in the following areas: • Test execution • Set up and tear down of test setups • Understanding of Oscilloscopes, DMM, Signal Analyzers, and Power Supplies • MS Office E. Education & Training AS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
