Job title: Data Analytics Engineer (Associate to Manager) What the role is: (Provide a brief overview of the role, what success in the position looks like and how it fits into the organization.) This role is to support data engineering activities within the analytics team. Working together with senior data engineers and data scientists, you will contribute to building and maintaining data pipelines, assisting with data ingestion processes, and supporting the development of data infrastructure that meets business requirements. Your responsibilities will include implementing data workflows, supporting data migration activities, developing and maintaining dashboards, and helping with user testing and deployment of data solutions. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical skills in data engineering fundamentals, including data processing, pipeline monitoring, and basic data quality assurance, whilst contributing to analytics projects from the technical implementation perspective. Main responsibilities: 1. Managing Projects to Deliver on Objectives and Outcomes a. Support the project managers and work closely with and vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver on data related implementations to ensure that deliverables and objectives are met within agreed scope and timelines. b. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as data scientists, data engineers, product managers, business analysts, develop and deploy data solutions into analytics platforms and production systems. 2. Develop and Maintain Data Solutions a. Participate in the development and implementation of data solutions by engaging and gathering user requirements, analysing business needs, and documenting specifications for data products and analytics solutions. b. Develop, monitor and maintain data pipelines and solutions, tracking data quality metrics and implementing improvements where needed. c. Support the testing and validation of fixes and enhancements where required, including executing test cases, validating data accuracy, and monitoring system performance post-deployment. d. Support data migration efforts by assisting with planning activities, reviewing migration processes, and verifying that migrated data is complete and meets quality standards. e. Prepare, process, cleanse and verify the integrity of data for data pipeline development and analysis f. Design and develop new interactive dashboards and/or enhance existing visualisations while adhering to best practices, working closely with users to optimise their experience and support data-driven decision making. Skills and knowledge • Good project management, planning, time management and organisational skills. • Strong analytical skills with a good eye for details. • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. • Experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys streamlining data systems and building them from ground up. • Experience in using data visualisation tools (e.g. QlikSense, QuickSight) and AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Athena, RDS, Redshift, Glue) will be advantageous. The following certifications would be advantageous: o Certified AWS Cloud Architect / Data Engineer / DevOps Engineer Job requirements • Trained in a quantitative or engineering discipline: Computer Science, Informatics / Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related discipline. • Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills with ability in managing internal and external stakeholders and delivering on objectives according to project timelines. • At least 1-2 years of work experience in data projects with demonstrable skills in building, deploying and maintaining data workflows. • Strong analytical skills with a good eye for detail and possess an aptitude/experience in solving data engineering problems to produce quality deliverables. • Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets is essential. • Proficient in programming tools (e.g., R, Python), and scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Java) • Experience with DataOps and/or MLOps and deploying models and data workflows through DevOps process will be advantageous. • Good command of written and spoken English with good communication skills with ability to express complex ideas, data / concepts and outcomes of analysis clearly to non-technical audiences 📩 How to Apply: Apply via MyCareersFuture.
