Job Summary
This Manager, Platform Engineering position at Capital One involves leading a team of engineers and driving the development of DevOps tools using emerging technologies. The successful candidate will have experience with CED database and related tools, as well as AWS and scripting languages like TAL, TACL, Shell Scripting, Python, and SQL.
Main Responsibilities:
• Manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize and scope team deliverables, and lead change control files and utilities (CMSUTIL, SWAPBLD, SWAPROLL, CEDUTIL)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to allocate team members to deliverables addressing customer needs through debit operations, and make effective decisions to manage and reduce potential risks to network from implementations
• Develop and mentor a high-performance team culture focused on consistent delivery of high-quality zero-defect implementations
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions, including hiring and retaining diverse engineering professionals and encouraging innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
