Technical Support Engineer - GNSS Simulation • Montreal, Canada • Permanent, Full-time Employee • Salary approx. CAD $70,000–$95,000 - depending on experience • Bonus and a competitive benefits package available • Hybrid-Remote Working Flexibility This global leader in resilient positioning, navigation, and timing technologies is searching for a Technical Support Engineer to specialise in their advanced GNSS simulation systems, used by aerospace, defence, automotive and telecom organisations worldwide. In this role, you’ll combine deep technical troubleshooting with customer-facing work, supporting complex GNSS simulators built around Linux, Python, C++ and RF hardware. You’ll be a key link between engineering, applications, sales and end users, helping them design, deploy, and debug high-performance simulation setups. What you’ll do... • Work directly with customers to understand setups, answer technical questions, and diagnose issues across software, Linux systems, networks and hardware. • Reproduce and troubleshoot complex problems in lab environments, collaborating closely with engineering and applications teams to drive fixes and workarounds. • Provide remote and on-site technical assistance, including product demonstrations, integration support and training sessions. • Create and maintain clear technical documentation, FAQs, application notes and internal knowledge base articles. • Capture field feedback and feed it back into product and engineering teams, helping to shape roadmap, usability and serviceability. • Support occasional activities around timing products where they integrate with GNSS simulation solutions. What you bring... • Professional background in software, electronics, telecommunications or a related technical field. • Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems and scripting / tooling in Python; some C++ exposure is a plus. • System mindset combining software, hardware and networking; comfortable around lab equipment and test setups. • Ideally, exposure to GNSS, RF, SDR or test & measurement environments. • Excellent communication skills, able to explain detailed technical topics in clear, customer-friendly language. • Strong customer-service orientation and willingness to travel occasionally domestically and internationally. • English and French language communication.
