**JD**: **Role - **PostgreSQL with Ansible** **Location-**Montreal, QC (Hybrid)** **Duration - **Fulltime** Skills and Responsibilities: Experience in Installing, configuring, performance tuning & troubleshooting PostgreSQL Databases. Have strong experience on configuring & troubleshooting of primary/replica configurations in clustered & non clustered environment. Main Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Install, configure and manage PostgreSql. Ability to independently monitor and administered databases. Creation & managing PostgresSQL, DB objects & user, roles and groups. Index management, Partitioning and system catalogues. Performance tuning, query tuning by generating and explaining SQL plans for SQL queries. Expert in Backup & Recovery including Pg dump, setting up WAL archiving, Point in time recovery. Knowledge on High Availability, streaming replication, Replication failover, repmgr. Expert with setting up and troubleshoot replication issues. Monitoring Alert log, scheduled jobs & troubleshooting database problems. Hands on maintenance activities such as vacuum, vacuum full, analyze the databases. Analyze, recommend and implement configuration for Optimized performance. Analyze to plan hardware capacity requirements for storage, memory & CPU Cycles. Contribute to document company database standards, guidelines and operational procedures. Should participate in Major incident management calls Front end customers on technical discussions Other skills required: Understand and deploy Ansible Playbooks Skills in a Linux environment - ssh, Kerberos, TLS - memory management - filesystems Python - Read/update existing code. - Manage virtual environment.
