Sony Santa Monica Studio seeks QA Leads for our internal projects on the PS5 platform.
The QA Lead will support development teams through test planning, execution, organization, and communication for assigned projects. The role involves overseeing all internal and external QA testing services, facilitating internal production, and managing external partnerships with SIE and third-party vendors. A deep understanding of our development pipeline, tools, workflows, and a detail-oriented, communicative, and adaptable demeanor are essential.

Responsibilities
• Plan, execute, and communicate QA Master Test Plans integrated into the development process.
• Manage QA project data, risks, and support requests efficiently.
• Train and delegate tasks to Assistant Leads, Sr Test Analysts, and Testers.
• Balance daily responsibilities with process improvements to enhance QA effectiveness.
• Model core SMS values and QA expectations.
• Learn and understand the development team structure, workflows, and tools.
• Facilitate communication with production and development teams.
• Own operational testing and manage project databases.
• Partner with team members to establish clear responsibilities and support project completion.
• Support performance management of QA staff in collaboration with leadership.
Requirements
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, proactive.
• Minimum 3 years in a Senior Test Analyst or equivalent role.
• Experience shipping at least 2 AAA titles on current consoles or PC.
• Certifications:
ISQTB Foundation and Intermediate Level CTAL.
• Knowledge of SDLC, build pipelines, QA methods, and development tools.
• Experience with Maya, Jenkins, Perforce, and test management software.
• Leadership and mentoring experience, excellent communication, organizational skills, and passion for gaming.
Preferred Experience
• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or certifications like SQE Mastering Test Design, PMI CAPM.
• Knowledge of Play Station QA operations, scripting languages, Agile methodologies, and remote team management.
