Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Web Developer II to join our clientin support of an existingvacancy.
Contract Period: 7 months with potential to extend
Pay Rate: Starting from $50 per hour

Job Responsibilities:
• Audit and evaluate design system components and patterns for accessibility compliance (WCAG, ADA, AODA)
• Define accessibility standards and contribute to system-wide guidelines, documentation, and tooling to enable a scalable and inclusive design practice
• Partner with designers, engineers, and QA teams to implement accessible components across web and native platforms (e.g., Native React Web, responsive web and React Mobile)
• Contribute accessibility reviews during component design, development, and release cycles
• Support inclusive design practices in content, interaction, and visual design across all system contributions
• Collaborate with global accessibility, compliance, and legal teams to ensure alignment with enterprise policies and regional regulations
• Champion accessibility education by delivering training, workshops, and office hours to design and product teams
• Advocate for assistive technology testing, automated tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse, Site Improve), and manual testing practices (screen readers, keyboard nav, colour contrast)
• Support a community of practice focused on accessibility within the broader product development organization
Experience & Qualification Requirement:
• 3-5+ years of experience in digital accessibility, inclusive design, or an equivalent role within large, global organizations
• Expert understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2, WAI-ARIA, and accessibility APIs
• Familiarity with how accessibility applies across design systems and component libraries (e.g., React, React Mobile frameworks)
• Comfortable working in Figma, Storybook, and design system tooling
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, Voiceover, NVDA, JAWS)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Able to translate complex accessibility requirements into actionable guidance
• IAAP CPACC, WAS, or CPWA certification, or equivalent accessibility credential
