Web & Automation Testing Engineer / $60k P/M

A leading technology consultancy is expanding its delivery team and is looking for a Web & Automation Testing Engineer to support a range of client-facing digital transformation projects. This role offers exposure to modern tech stacks, enterprise-scale systems, and agile delivery environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web-based applications through both manual and automated testing. Working closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams, you'll help embed quality throughout the SDLC.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications
Execute manual and automated test cases across functional, regression, and integration testing
Collaborate with developers to identify, log, and resolve defects early
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
Validate APIs, UI components, and end-to-end user journeys
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with automated test execution
Produce clear test documentation and reports for stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in web application testing
Hands‑on experience with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, WebDriverIO, etc.)
Programming or scripting experience (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
Experience testing RESTful APIs (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
Strong communication skills and a consulting mindset
Nice to Have
Experience working in a technology consultancy or client-facing environment
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Performance or security testing experience
ISTQB or other testing certifications
