Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics and distribution team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy to ensure smooth warehouse functionality. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly valued. The Warehouse Worker will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods and materials within our facility, supporting manufacturing and distribution processes.
Responsibilities
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely.
• Perform order picking, packing, and fulfillment tasks accurately to meet customer requirements.
• Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and handling of goods.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to track inventory levels, process orders, and update records efficiently.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of products and materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper placement of items within the warehouse.
• Support manufacturing processes by organizing supplies and materials needed for production lines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Use mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues related to heavy machinery or warehouse tools.
• Support construction or maintenance tasks as needed within the warehouse premises.
Requirements
• Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers; certification is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platform.
• Strong physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes.
• Knowledge of packaging standards and order picking techniques.
• Ability to operate load & unload machinery safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous.
