Long Island NY Salary: 95K Background * Design and implement Avamar and Data Domain solutions to meet customer needs
Configure and manage Avamar replication, Cloud Tier, and Data Domain systems
Describe and configure Avamar features and capabilities, including data protection, disaster recovery, and data management
Perform Avamar server maintenance activities, including disk replacement and node upgrades
Identify and configure Data Domain features and architecture, including data replication, recovery, and security
Collaborate with customers to understand their data protection and disaster recovery needs and develop customized solutions
Perform system monitoring, maintenance, capacity management, and troubleshooting for Avamar and Data Domain systems
Works with customer server team, network team, application teams, and security team (example request via ServiceNow - for Avamar VM build, Firewall, plug plan (Ports), VLAN, cabling, backup requirements such as scheduling/retention, etc.
Requirements * 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing data protection and disaster recovery solutions
In-depth knowledge of Avamar and Data Domain features and capabilities
Experience with Avamar replication, Cloud Tier, and Data Domain systems
Strong understanding of data protection and disaster recovery concepts and strategies
Strong technical skills, including knowledge of networking, storage, and data protection technologies
Experience with system monitoring, maintenance, capacity management, and troubleshooting Preferred * Avamar NDMP PPDM Avamar 19.8 & later Data Domain 7.7 & Laer DPA 19.
