About the Job
Our client is a leading research-driven organisation at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence and advanced engineering innovation. With a strong focus on applied R&D, they are driving impactful projects in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM) that address complex, real-world challenges.
What You Will Do
• Design and execute research methodologies and experiments focused on improving the core components of large language models.
• Conduct independent NLP and LLM research, communicating results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to curate, preprocess, and refine large-scale datasets for training and evaluation.
• Apply advanced analytical and machine learning techniques to extract insights and enhance generative AI performance.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and documentation to uphold technical and research standards.
• Translate research findings from low Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) into practical, deployable engineering applications.
What You Bring
• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in NLP or LLM research (e.g. information retrieval, entity relation extraction, reasoning, or prompt engineering).
• Proven experience with generative AI techniques such as synthetic data generation or model fine-tuning.
• Strong proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to solve complex research problems.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, capable of articulating research outcomes to varied audiences.
• A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with proven success in multidisciplinary project environments.
