Role Summary
As the Backend Python Developer, you will lead backend development for both SaaS and on-premises deployments, working on performance, scalability, and integration challenges. You'll manage a small team of remote developers initially, with the potential to shift toward a project management focus as the team grows.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
• Implement SaaS and on-premises deployments for enterprise clients
• Lead and mentor a small remote development team
• Integrate with third-party APIs to extend platform capabilities
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (frontend, design, product)
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD workflows
• Ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and security standards
• Contribute to process improvements and technology best practices
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Strong backend development experience in Python
• Experience with SaaS and on-premises deployments
• Familiarity with Azure, C#, Qdrant, Solr
• Leadership skills to guide remote developers
• Strong project management capability
• Understanding of enterprise client requirements and legal tech is a plus
