Job Posting: Network Security DevOps Engineer Location: Spring TX(100% Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Rate: $70/hr. We are seeking an experienced Network Security DevOps Engineer to join a global enterprise environment. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical depth in network security who are passionate about automation, cloud connectivity, and building secure, scalable infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s security posture and enabling resilient global IT operations. Role Overview As a Network Security DevOps Engineer, you will design, engineer, and maintain complex network security solutions across data centers, cloud environments, and distributed regional infrastructures. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate security standards while defending against evolving cybersecurity threats. By applying DevOps principles, you will help drive automation, improve operational efficiency, and support a forward-leaning Zero-Ops vision. This position involves close collaboration with network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams around the world. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement network security technologies across global environments, including data centers, office networks, and edge platforms. • Operate and maintain firewalls and security platforms such as Cisco ASA/FTD, FortiGate, and Juniper SRX, including upgrades, patching, and configuration management. • Develop secure, automated infrastructure solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitHub, Jenkins, REST APIs, Jinja2, and YAML. • Integrate DevOps methodologies to enhance scalability, automation, and resiliency within network security operations. • Contribute to reducing manual interventions by creating Zero-Ops-aligned workflows and automation frameworks. • Support security operations teams with monitoring, analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management. • Assess security advisories and vulnerabilities, and recommend appropriate mitigations. • Participate in ad-hoc incident investigations and vulnerability assessments. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support projects and operational improvements. • Create and maintain detailed operational documentation and process guidelines. Qualifications • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering. • Proficiency with enterprise security platforms: • Cisco ASA (CSM) • Cisco FTD (FMC) • FortiGate (FortiManager) • Juniper SRX (Junos Space) • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing/switching, ACLs, VPNs, NAT, DNS, and traffic flow analysis. • Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, authentication, encryption, and vulnerability management processes. • Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE/FCA/FCSS, CISSP, GIAC (not mandatory).
