Metrolinx is a transportation agency that connects communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Our mission is to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier.
We are building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto's subway system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitors and reports on costs against approved budgets, schedules, and contractual deliverables within and across large and mission critical projects.
• Leads and develops a high-performing team of Project Financial Control Officers and Cost Controllers, fostering a culture of accountability, financial discipline, and continuous learning.
• Provides advice to Project Control Directors and other stakeholders across the business in all matters related to cost control systems and procedures.
• Builds collaborative relationships with senior organizational leadership and gains trust with stakeholders to foster good relations, gain support, develop resources, drive results, realize project outcomes, manage conflicts, and represent the needs of customers, stakeholders, operations, and maintenance.
Requirements:
• Completion of a degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
• Demonstrated progressive experience leading cost management processes in large, complex multi-billion dollar, and multi-project construction and infrastructure environments.
• A recognized accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA), Certification from Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is/are considered an asset.
