JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Senior UX Researcher (Onsite) Location:Toronto, ON Pay rate: CAD70-$80/hr. Industry Type: Public Sector Overview Seeking a Senior UX Researcher to lead UX/CX research and DesignOps initiatives, focusing on creating scalable, repeatable research and design processes across digital products. Key Requirements • 8+ years of UX/CX research experience (interviews, surveys, personas, journeys, usability testing) • 6+ years of DesignOps experience, including process optimization and governance • Strong research planning, participant recruitment, and survey design experience • Expertise in documentation, workflow analysis, and process standardization • Excellent communication and facilitation skills (including remote workshops) • Proficient with Microsoft O365 and digital collaboration tools (Miro, Mural, FigJam or similar) Responsibilities • Analyze existing UX/CX workflows and identify gaps and improvement opportunities • Define, document, and optimize repeatable UX/CX research and design processes • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Product, Legal, Privacy, Security) • Facilitate feedback sessions and design thinking workshops • Develop and maintain research templates, documentation, and standards • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership • Support organization-wide adoption of UX/CX best practices Desired Skills • UX certification or accreditation • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Experience with research and whiteboarding tools • Background in healthcare, digital health, or public sector environments (preferred) • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG/AODA) - Deliverables • UX/CX research processes and standards documentation • Research and evaluation templates (plans, insights reports, personas, journey maps) • User feedback and accessibility testing reports • Regular status updates and knowledge transfer documentation If this opportunity matches your experience and career goals, please share your most updated resume for consideration.
