Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced payment systems developer to lead and execute the migration of our transaction processing infrastructure from BASE24 Classic to BASE24-eps.
This role requires deep technical expertise in both platforms, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams to ensure a successful transition with minimal business disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
Migration Execution
• Analyze existing BASE24 Classic configurations, customizations, and transaction flows to create comprehensive migration specifications
• Convert custom transaction processing logic, authorization rules, and routing configurations from Classic to eps framework
• Develop and maintain migration scripts, data transformation utilities, and automation tools
• Design and implement interface adaptations for upstream systems including card management, fraud detection, and downstream systems such as settlement and reporting platforms
• Ensure data integrity throughout the migration process including configuration files, transaction logs, and historical data
Technical Development
• Build and configure BASE24-eps transaction processing modules aligned with business requirements
• Develop custom exits, user exits, and API integrations within the eps environment
• Create comprehensive test scenarios covering functional, integration, performance, and security testing
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across both Classic and eps platforms during parallel operations
• Optimize transaction processing performance and system resource utilization in the eps environment
Quality Assurance and Testing
• Design and execute detailed test plans including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
• Conduct performance benchmarking and load testing to validate throughput and response time requirements
• Perform parallel testing comparing Classic and eps transaction outputs to ensure consistency
• Document test results, defects, and resolutions comprehensively
• Support business teams during UAT and address identified issues promptly
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
• Create detailed technical documentation including system architecture, interface specifications, and operational procedures
• Develop runbooks for common operational tasks and troubleshooting procedures
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for operations, support, and development teams
• Maintain configuration management documentation and version control
Collaboration and Support
• Work closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and operations staff throughout the migration lifecycle
• Participate in regular project status meetings and provide accurate progress updates
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party system providers for interface testing and validation
• Provide post-migration hypercare support and resolve production issues
• Mentor junior team members on BASE24 technologies and best practices
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with BASE24 Classic including system configuration, customization, and operations
• Strong experience with BASE24-eps architecture, transaction processing, and configuration (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Proficiency in programming languages used in BASE24 environments including C, COBOL, and scripting languages (shell, Perl, Python)
• Deep understanding of ISO 8583 message formats, EMV transaction processing, and payment card industry standards
• Experience with database technologies including Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server
• Knowledge of mainframe and distributed systems environments
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN Domain Knowledge
• Strong understanding of card payment processing flows including authorization, clearing, and settlement
• Knowledge of payment industry regulations and PCI-DSS compliance requirements
• Experience with fraud detection systems and security protocols in payment environments
• Understanding of high-availability architectures and disaster recovery concepts

• ACI Worldwide certification in BASE24 Classic and BASE24-eps
• Experience with additional payment platforms such as Postilion, VisionPLUS, or similar
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios, or similar
• Previous experience leading or participating in large-scale platform migration projects
