Be the next member of our growing team at Browns Restaurant Group (BRG). As our restaurant group expands and integrates new digital systems, we are seeking a Technology & Data Systems Coordinator to bridge the gap between Office Staff, IT, and data. This position ensures our POS, reporting, and network environments remain accurate, efficient, and insight-driven — enabling leadership and franchisees to make data-based decisions with confidence. This role supports both technical operations (POS and network) and data intelligence (Power BI, SQL, reporting, and AI tool usage) IT Support (Software, Network, Hardware). The right candidate combines technical curiosity with strong communication skills, capable of solving everyday tech issues while also thinking strategically about systems and data integrity. WHAT YOU’LL DO: • Handle basic in-office IT support (printers, workstations, network connections). • Perform basic network troubleshooting and assist with Fortinet firewalls. • Coordinate with outsourced IT providers to manage tickets, prioritize issues, and follow up on resolutions. • Support with asset management and device health required specifications. • Support with the creation and maintenance of SharePoint Sites. • Help manage user site/group permissions • Support with device set up and compliance • Maintain and update Squirrel and Toast POS databases, including item setup, pricing, PLU codes, and menu synchronization. • First point of contact for locations regarding POS support or questions. • Liaise with Culinary and Marketing to ensure menu accuracy and feature rollout consistency. • Maintain inventory control databases for health and accuracy. • Manage and query SQL databases for reporting accuracy and troubleshooting. • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize operational, sales, and promotional data. • Support with AI-assisted workflows (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Automate, etc.). • Support creation of AI agents or automations for internal use (e.g., data queries, report summaries, FAQs). WHAT YOU BRING: • 1 to 3 years experience in IT coordination, data analysis, or POS administration. • Hands on experience with Squirrel and/or Toast POS. • Microsoft 365 Training/Certification (SharePoint, Power Apps, 365 administration). • Proficient in SQL and Power BI (DAX and data modelling knowledge is an asset). • Proficient in Excel and Data Preparation (Advanced formula knowledge, VBA). • Comfortable managing support tickets and working with outsourced IT vendors. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Curious about AI tools and automation — practical, not hype-driven. • Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and capable of balancing daily support with long-term data projects. • Availability to respond to emergency support emails during restaurant hours of operation, which may fall outside the typical 9-5 office hours. • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills. • Proven ability to effectively manage change within tight deadlines. • Meticulous attention to detail and quality. • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with all levels of the organization, and relevant external contacts. • Hospitality background an asset. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU: • Salary range $50,000 to $60,000 • Paid vacation and professional development. • Great Extended Health and Dental benefits program with a Health Care Spending Account. • 50% off meals at select Browns Socialhouse and Crafthouse restaurants. • Healthy office snacks and dog-friendly work environment. • Office located near the heart of Kerrisdale, close to Pacific Spirit Park trails and UBC. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and growing organization while being part of a remarkably hardworking team!
