• *Responsibilities**:
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Work with large and complex healthcare datasets, ensuring data quality, preprocessing, and feature engineering to extract meaningful insights and build robust AI models.
- Model Training and Evaluation: Train, continual pretrain, fine-tune, and validate AI models using healthcare data to advance state-of-the-art solutions and employ standard evaluation techniques.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, bioinformatitians, data engineers, and product managers, to understand healthcare domain requirements and translate them into AI solutions.
- Ethical Considerations: Ensure that AI solutions adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines in healthcare, including patient privacy and data security.
- Documentation: Document research findings, methodologies, and code for reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:
Skills and attributes to success
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field with a previous experience in healthcare AI research and development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch and related Python libraries.
- Knowledge of healthcare data, including EHRs, medical imaging, and clinical data.
- Strong knowledge of dimensionality reduction techniques (as t-SNE, UMAP, and MDS) and visualization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Publications in peer-reviewed conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICCV, CVPR, MICCAI, etc.) or journals (Transactions of IEEE or Nature) related to AI.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and scalable AI deployment.
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques for healthcare text data.
- Knowledge of Foundation Models, including LLMs and diffusion models.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-AI-technical stakeholders.
