We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our team in Schaumburg, IL. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in professional billing, including Epic or eClinicalWorks, and a passion for providing excellent service to patients and payers alike.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and follow up on patient accounts, including self-pay balances
• Review and interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) for accuracy and completeness
• Resolve insurance denials, rejections, and patient billing inquiries
• Accurately document account activity and payment statuses
• Process claims and payments through Epic or eClinicalWorks
• Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to ensure timely resolution
Qualifications:
• Experience with Epic or eClinicalWorks is required
• 1-2+ years of professional (physician) billing experience
• Proficient in reviewing EOBs and working with self-pay accounts
• Strong understanding of billing processes and insurance guidelines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
