In this key role, you will influence core architecture, product innovation, and initial production deployments, directly collaborating with the founder and the early-stage team.
About the Role
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will lead the charge in product development, taking ownership of key product features across the frontend, backend, and integration layers. This is a highly impactful position where your contributions will significantly steer the direction of our product and lay the groundwork for Lumena's platform.
What You'll Do
• Design and develop the core application builder, acting as the orchestration layer that connects diverse workflows, agents, and user-friendly frontend views.
• Develop and enhance Lumena's scalable TypeScript-based backend and modern frontend stack using React and Tailwind.
• Create dynamic and engaging frontend interfaces for dashboards, forms, and human-AI collaborative workflows.
• Work closely with the applied engineering team to incorporate automation and AI intelligence across the platform.
• Architect and maintain the integration layer, connecting REST APIs, SQL databases, and third-party services.
• Establish and uphold best practices for product engineering, architecture, and development experience as we grow.
Who You Are (Must-Haves)
• 5-15 years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack development.
• Demonstrated success in early-stage startups or fast-paced environments.
• Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frameworks like React and Tailwind.
• Proficiency in designing complex architectures, asynchronous workflows, and integrations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities along with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with AI / LLM-powered applications.
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as Temporal.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience addressing enterprise-level challenges such as secure hosting (VPCs), observability, identity & compliance.
