About The Role
• We are seeking an entry or middle level software engineer with degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Mechanical Engineer, or a related field.
What You'll Do
• Work with our US RnD teams to take over the software and firmware developed for our device, optical engine, and system then implement at our OSAT and contract manufacturer.
• Work with our OSAT in Asia for software implementation to support device packaging process automation and improvements for NPI and volume manufacture such as active alignment automation, testing station software upgrade/support, and script-based data analysis/device auto grading.
• Work with our CMs (contract manufactures) in Asia for software implementation to support device packaging process automation and improvements to support our optical engine and subcomponent assembly and process improvement for NPI and volume manufacture such as active alignment, testing, and script-based data analysis/grading.
• Project tracking weekly.
• Write technical reports and present results.
• Pull in the OSAT and CMs internal data to help with our data-based failure analysis and monitor their Cp and Cpk for internal use.
• Write, maintain, and improve the script to support tests and reliability data analysis work at component level CoC, device level, optical engine, and module system assembly.
• Involve, track, and document the software, firmware, scripts, evolution with ECN and version control system.
• Work with equipment suppliers to maintain their software update and improvement.
• Participate in the DFM and gather field feedback at OSATs and CMs to HQ RnD teams.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
• The successful candidate need have English communication capability.
• Python or/and C++ code for automation, test support, data collection.
• Hands-on data analysis using customized software and scripts is important
• English communication capability is a must.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.
• A fast learner is a must.
• Good work ethics and Maintain company confidential information are a must
Preferred Qualifications
• A higher degree with more experience is highly desired.
• Experience in software or firmware support is a big plus.
• Experience in working with OSATs and CMs for software, firmware, and script implementation is highly desired.
• Form experience on optical modules is a plus particularly on active macro lens alignment in camera or lidar system.
• Knowing the microelectronic device packaging is a plus.
• Experience with hands-on testing of photonics and electronics. device/components.
• Experience in SolidWorks and familiar with Engineering drawing is a big plus.
• Automation for data analysis experience such as JMPs script, or Python is a plus.
• Experience in the assembly automation; test automation for volume production is a big plus.
