Job Title: Technology Analyst - Big Data
Location: Houston, TX 77018
Salary: DOE
Full Time Permanent Role
Location for this position is Houston, TX and may require 10% travel

Essential Functions of the Job:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in Information Technology.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience in building data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Big Data stack (Hortonworks, Cloudera etc.)
Experience working with Azure Big Data landscape – especially ingestion, ADLS, BLOB, SQL Data Warehouse
Very strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and Hadoop components like Pig, Azure Data Factory etc.
Experienced in traditional Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects
Experience in using tools like Azure Data Factory, Sqoop, TIBCO tools, Mulesoft etc. to build data pipelines across systems
Experience in building pipelines from on premise Data Lakes to cloud-based Lakes and data stores
Experience in building pipelines for real-time/streaming, structured and unstructured data
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
