Job Description: Finishing Technician (Steel Industry)
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform mechanical maintenance, including preventive and corrective actions, to ensure plant and equipment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide root cause analysis with action plans for resolution.
• Operate and maintain equipment, including pendant-operated cranes, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and ensure timely reporting of issues and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance projects and support production requirements.
• Promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards to achieve zero accidents.
• Optimize maintenance costs and minimize downtime.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with team members and customers.
• Proficiency with hand tools, measuring tools, and portable equipment.
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to safety regulations.
• Knowledge of pendant-operated crane operations is preferred.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a steel plant.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Zero-accident implementation of HSE standards.
• Maintenance cost optimization and downtime reduction.
• Accurate reporting of troubleshooting outcomes and action plans.
• Daily inspections and proactive identification of equipment issues.
