Role Overview:
King’s College Doha is seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Further Maths for August 2026 to deliver outstanding teaching across our school. The successful candidate will inspire pupils to develop scientific knowledge, analytical skills, and a passion for biology through an engaging and forward-thinking curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
• Deliver high-quality teaching of A Level Further Mathematics, including both Core and Optional modules (as determined by the exam board).
• Teach A Level Mathematics to high-attaining groups, ensuring coherence and strong progression between the two qualifications.
• Plan and deliver lessons that promote deep conceptual understanding, mathematical proof, abstraction and advanced problem-solving.
• Ensure that Further Mathematics is taught as an interwoven course alongside A Level Mathematics, reinforcing and extending key concepts.
• Set and monitor a significant programme of independent study and enrichment, recognising the demanding nature of the course
Curriculum and Assessment
• Lead on the planning, sequencing and delivery of the full A Level Further Mathematics specification.
• Select and develop appropriate optional modules to best suit student strengths and future pathways.
• Track student progress using assessment data and provide targeted intervention where necessary.
• Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work, teaching resources and assessments for post-16 mathematics.
Student Support and Enrichment
• Promote mathematical enrichment opportunities such as competitions, lectures and extension programmes.
• Identify, recruit and support students suitable for A Level Further Mathematics.
Curriculum Development
• Work collaboratively within a strong and forward-thinking Mathematics department.
• Contribute to departmental development at KS5 and across the whole school
• Engage fully in professional development and remain current with developments in post-16 mathematics education.
• Uphold the school’s safeguarding, behaviour and professional expectations.
Person Specification

• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject(E)
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).(E)
• Proven experience teaching A Level Mathematics and A Level Further Mathematics(E)
• Outstanding subject knowledge across pure mathematics, including proof, complex numbers, matrices, vectors and advanced calculus(E)
• A track record of strong post-16 outcomes.(E)
• Familiarity with Edexcel, AQA or OCR Further Mathematics specifications.(D)
• Experience leading or coordinating A Level Further Mathematics.(D)
