Role Overview: King’s College Doha is seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Design & Technology for August 2026 to deliver outstanding teaching across the Secondary School. The successful candidate will inspire pupils to develop creativity, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities through an engaging and forward-thinking DT curriculum. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in DT that are engaging, challenging, and inclusive. • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that embed creativity, innovation, and real-world applications. • Use a range of teaching strategies, including digital tools, to enhance learning. • Provide constructive feedback to support pupils’ academic growth and confidence. • Prepare pupils effectively for external examinations, including GCSE and BTEC qualifications. Pupil Enrichment • Lead and support extracurricular activities such as DT clubs, design competitions, and educational visits. • Inspire pupils to explore STEM and DT-related pathways and careers. Pastoral Responsibilities • Contribute to pupils’ holistic development through pastoral care. • Support the wider school community through co-curricular and enrichment activities. Curriculum Development • Design engaging learning activities that stimulate curiosity and deepen understanding. • Develop high-quality, creative subject-specific resources. • Assist in sourcing and managing specialist DT resources and materials. • Ensure strong vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment. • Analyse pupil progress data and take action to ensure outstanding outcomes. • Regularly review practice and engage in continuous professional development.
