Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Leading the design, development, and rollout of solutions tailored to the tax group's needs in data transformation, integration, compliance, and reporting. • Acting as a liaison between the tax service line and the tax transformation team to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business requirements for effective testing and implementation of technology solutions. • Analyzing existing compliance workflows to identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and digital transformation. • Training end users on new tools, workflows, and best practices. • Managing multiple competing priorities while providing clear communication across all levels of the organization. Applying your tax expertise to evaluate technologies and recommend enhancements to the product team. • Applying tax compliance and technology experience to address complex issues and propose innovative solutions. • Collaborating with tax and transformation teams to define metrics that gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of new technologies. • Assisting in the identification, evaluation, and selection of new tools and technologies for integration into the tax compliance process. • Mentoring junior tax technology members, guiding them to successfully deliver on their assigned tasks. • Leading and engaging in thoughtful discussions with project sponsors, stakeholders, and leadership on strategic goals, resource allocation, scheduling, and challenges. • Planning, designing, and executing testing practices to ensure solutions meet functional specifications, including user interfaces, business logic, and data access. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, or equivalent field. • 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and/or tax technology, either in public accounting or a combination of public/private experience. • Familiarity with Alteryx, PowerBI, SQL, Python, REST APIs, or similar solutions. • Strong proficiency in Excel, including VBA and complex queries. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting Partnership, Individual, or Corporate tax returns. • Exposure to tax applications such as Wolters Kluwer's CCH Axcess and Thomson Reuters GoSystem. • Experience with AI-based workflows or agents. • Advanced degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field. • Background in delivering live training sessions and developing end-user documentation, including user guides and training materials. • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and a collaborative attitude that fosters teamwork with functional and technical resources. • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C#, or JavaScript. • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite. Location: New York In New York City and California, the expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $150,000. Compensation may vary based on market differences and will be determined based on experience and other legally permissible factors.
