We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who proactively prevents infrastructure failures rather than simply reacting to them. This involves troubleshooting and resolving existing issues, designing and implementing cloud migrations that achieve near-zero downtime, and leveraging AI/ML-driven workflows to automate significant portions of operational work. What You Will Be Doing
• Designing and executing sophisticated infrastructure changes, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift migration projects
• Creating and deploying monitoring strategies and developing automation for monitoring systems, software deployment pipelines, and operational processes
• Conducting system monitoring, managing system backups, responding to incidents, executing database migrations, configuring database systems, and optimizing infrastructure costs

Senior DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities
• Advance reliability and consistency of cloud infrastructure throughout our expanding product portfolio by deploying comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
Basic Requirements
• Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our core platform - experience with other cloud providers alone is insufficient)
• Solid programming capabilities in Python or JavaScript for creating automation and tooling solutions
• Demonstrated experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Expert-level Docker/Kubernetes proficiency
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
