About the Role
The Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance network solutions within cloud environments. This role ensures reliable connectivity across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures, optimizes network performance, and enforces security best practices. In addition, the Cloud Network Engineer plays a key role in cloud-to-cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless network transitions with minimal downtime. The position also involves applying network segmentation strategies and configuring firewall rules to strengthen security and compliance during and after migration. The engineer collaborates with cloud architects, security teams, and application developers to deliver robust networking solutions that support business objectives.
What You Will Do
• Plan and execute network-related tasks during migration from one cloud platform to another.
• Ensure minimal downtime and maintain connectivity throughout the migration process.
• Design and implement network segmentation strategies to enhance security and compliance.
• Configure and manage firewall rules, security groups, and access controls across cloud environments.
• Design and deploy cloud-based network architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Configure virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Implement hybrid connectivity solutions (ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
• Optimize network performance and latency for cloud workloads.
• Apply network security best practices, including encryption and access control.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Monitor network health and performance using cloud-native tools.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues promptly.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, ARM templates) for network provisioning.
• Work with cloud architects, security teams, and application developers to ensure seamless integration.
What We Are Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Networking, or related field OR equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years in network engineering, with at least 2 years in cloud networking.
• Proficiency in cloud networking services (Azure Virtual Network, AWS VPC, GCP VPC).
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, CCNP.
• Network architecture and design.
• Cloud security and compliance.
• Troubleshooting and performance optimization
