We are currently filling the following direct-hire position with our client. • Onsite 5 days/week in San Francisco The Sr Python Developer plays a critical role in building, monitoring, debugging, and evolving AI agents that support operational workflows within a dynamic, AI-native ecosystem. This role focuses on ensuring agents perform with reliability and contextual awareness while contributing to the automation of complex, high-impact processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive engineer with strong Python or JavaScript skills, capable of working across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, intelligent systems. Responsibilities – Design and implement operational flows for agent-driven departments using modern development tools and languages such as Python and JavaScript – Monitor agent performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable and contextual agent behavior – Collaborate closely with product, AI research, and infrastructure teams to define and deliver agentic functionality – Participate in planning, feedback, and deployment cycles to improve workflows and system performance – Document system architecture, tools, and decisions to support collaboration and team growth – Contribute technical leadership and domain expertise to the evolution of an AI-powered platform Qualifications – Senior-level software engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced, agile environments – 8+ years of experience with Python, with the ability to design robust systems – Strong understanding of software development principles and how they apply to real-world problems – Comfortable experimenting with emerging agent frameworks and tools (e.g., Cursor, Warp) – Effective communicator with the ability to bring clarity to complex technical challenges – Experienced working with cross-functional teams in AI-forward environments
