Akkodis is seeking a Physical AI Engineering & Strategy, Senior Consultant for 4 Months Contract – San Francisco CA (Onsite)
Rate Range: $125/hr. - $130/hr.; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Summary:
Our Artificial Intelligence & Data team is pioneering the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies with physical systems. We are seeking a Senior Consultant – Physical AI to design and deliver innovative robotics and AI-driven solutions that bridge software and hardware ecosystems.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and clients across industries, shaping next-generation Physical AI methodologies. You will contribute to research, innovation showcases, and real-world deployments that redefine how organizations leverage robotics, digital twins, and AI-driven automation.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable Physical AI demos integrating robotics and software systems
• Lead robotics development across kinematics, perception, and decision-making systems
• Build and implement digital twin and AI-powered automation solutions
• Utilize NVIDIA ecosystem tools (e.g., Isaac Sim, AI frameworks) to architect and deploy solutions
• Integrate sensor technologies (LIDAR, cameras, etc.) into robotics systems
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Monitor AI/robotics market trends and contribute to strategic positioning
• Present innovations at hosted events, technology showcases, and summits
• Apply Agile and DevOps methodologies to deliver scalable, production-ready AI systems
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3–6 years of full-time experience in Robotics, Digital Twin, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or Reinforcement Learning
• Hands-on experience integrating software and hardware in AI systems
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java
• Experience with robotics frameworks (ROS) and simulation platforms (Isaac Sim)
• Deep knowledge of NVIDIA ecosystem technologies
• Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and sensor integration
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps) and Agile practices (Jira)
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related quantitative field
• Advanced research or industry experience in robotics systems and real-time simulation
• Experience designing scalable enterprise AI solutions
