We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect - CRM (RQ00495) to lead the Medical Imaging Program for Supply Ontario. This is a critical hybrid opportunity requiring 10+ years expertise in provincially-scaled Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) design/implementation, PACS, DICOM, and HL7 standards within Ontario's healthcare ecosystem. Position Details: Client: Supply Ontario Location: 525 University Avenue, Toronto, Canada (Hybrid - Up to 3 days onsite per HM discretion) Start Date: April 1, 2026 End Date: March 30, 2027 Duration: 249 business days (Option to extend up to 252 additional days) Hours: 7.25 hours per day (5 days/week) Job Type: Hybrid Must Haves: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent working experience required) • 10+ years experience as Solution Architect in medical imaging technology solutions with hands-on provincially-scaled Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) design/implementation • 10+ years demonstrated expertise in PACS, DICOM Standards, and HL7 interoperability standards Key Responsibilities: • Lead enterprise-level architecture definition/validation for Provincial Enterprise Imaging ecosystem (EI-VNA, EI-V, Provincial MI Repository) • Develop technical implementation plans: architecture, infrastructure, integration pathways, networking, security, data flows • Support procurement/contract negotiations validating technical requirements and solution alignment • Establish/document standards for application interfaces, middleware, databases, system interactions • Create draft RFP technical components: requirements, architectural specs, integration design, workflows Background & Context: Form dedicated team of 2 Senior Solution Architects for Medical Imaging Program procurement supporting Ontario Health's enterprise imaging initiatives across hospitals and ICHSCs. Additional Requirements: • Knowledge of Ontario healthcare sector IT systems and product dependencies • Architectural disciplines: Business, Application, Information, Infrastructure, Privacy, Security • Service management frameworks: ITIL, PMBOK, COBIT, Zachman, TOGAF, Rational, Agile • Medical Imaging vendor landscape knowledge within ICHSCs and regulations • PHIPA/FIPPA privacy legislation expertise • Public sector experience (mandatory) Deliverables Include: • Support EI-VNA contract negotiation (technical validation, architecture alignment) • Develop EI-VNA technical implementation plan (architecture, integration, infrastructure) • Lead draft RFP technical components for Enterprise Imaging Viewer (EI-V) • Define solution architecture for Provincial Medical Imaging Repository • Design technical foundation: infrastructure, interfaces, networking, security, data flows • Develop data migration strategy for hospitals/ICHSCs • Oversee deployment of migration tools, interface components, network configurations • Document technical integration/migration processes Desired Skills: • Compare/contrast health IT systems for efficient medical imaging modernization • Apply HL7 V2/FHIR and health information management principles • IT privacy/security standards (FIPPA, PHIPA) application • Public sector procurement process execution • Risk mitigation strategies across business/privacy/security/financial domains • Strong communication for technical/non-technical audiences and stakeholder consensus Evaluation Criteria (100 Points): • IT degree + 10+ years medical imaging Solution Architect (VNA experience) - 20 pts • Ontario healthcare IT systems knowledge - 20 pts • Architectural disciplines knowledge - 20 pts • Medical Imaging vendor landscape/ICHSC regulations - 20 pts • PHIPA/privacy legislation knowledge - 10 pts • Complex multi-stakeholder environment experience - 10 pts How to Apply: Submit mandatory documents to kenny.offor@smsoftconsulting.com or hrsmss@smsoftconsulting.com by Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 4:00 PM EST: • Updated Resume in Word format (Mandatory) • Skills Matrix and References (Mandatory) • Expected hourly rate (Mandatory) • Visa Status (Mandatory) • LinkedIn ID (Mandatory) Without mandatory documents, we cannot submit a candidate.
