Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Software Engineering Project Manager to lead complex software development projects across embedded systems and enterprise application domains. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and technical leader with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within scope. You will work closely with engineering, product, QA, and customer teams to ensure successful execution of projects in telecom, industrial, manufacturing and other sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and foster productive relationships.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Plan, execute, and oversee software development projects across embedded and application software domains.
• Drive project execution, track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate activities between product management, engineering, QA, operations and customer-facing teams.
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and milestone reviews in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Ensure adherence to software development processes throughout the project.
• Support budgetary and technical proposals for RFQs.
Qualifications & Experience (not all inclusive):
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing software projects, including embedded and/or enterprise applications programs.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile, waterfall methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and deliver complex projects on schedule.
• Practical experience working as Scrum master or Product Owner in Agile teams.
• Familiarity with embedded platforms, Linux, and application frameworks (Qt, .NET, or Web stacks).
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Domain experience in one or more of the following domains is required: Automotive, Telecom or AI-enabled enterprise applications.
• PMP or Scrum certification is considered an asset.
• Experience managing customer facing project in software design engineering services environment is a plus.

This role is 100% work from office. It is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Relocation of candidates will not be considered or provided.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
