Job Description:
Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, the Software & AI Team Leader will lead the development, deployment, and governance of the software series and AI-related objectives, aligning with the business goal of the company. The successful candidate will be driving innovation on and integration of AI and biotechnology and ensure that software development team can contribute directly to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and execute software and AI-related product strategy in alignment with the company’s business goal.
• Collaborate with hardware R&D and business team to integrate software and AI as part of the full product solution to customers or clients.
• Lead software & AI development team to drive new objectives or improve current product series, track global trends and discuss with the CEO and senior leadership of other functional teams in regular sharing sessions.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of bundled software and AI models (e.g., Signal Processing, LLM-based agent workflow, Cloud and Web service deployment) and monitor performance and functionality of products.
• Initiate or strengthen partnerships with research academia, technology providers, and clinical organizations to accelerate product development.
• Establish governance framework to ensure responsible and trustable AI deployment.
• Design and drive programs to integrate AI technologies into company’s daily workflow to foster productivity and innovation within the company.
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in an AI-related field. Medical knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong Python skills, with proficiency in using deep learning-related frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in AI model development, especially in medical AI, NLP and LLM with agentic system design and human-machine interaction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Able to engage with team members, stakeholders, and customers, demonstrating knowledge of AI technologies related to the company’s software product series.
• General business mindset.
• Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
• Must be based in Hong Kong and willing to work in a startup environment.
