Requirements
• 8 or more years of experience in systems engineering and enterprise observability architecture.
• Proficiency in Grafana for advanced dashboard design, alerting workflows, and API integrations.
• Experience in implementing OpenTelemetry instrumentation for metrics, logs, and distributed tracing.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Splunk.
• Experience in integrating observability tools with ITSM systems like Ivanti or ServiceNow.
• Experience with defining and implementing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
• Design and execute the long-term enterprise observability strategy and telemetry roadmap.
• Build and maintain complex Grafana dashboards integrating data from multiple disparate systems.
• Architect telemetry pipelines to support distributed tracing, metrics collection, and centralized logging.
• Implement automated alert notification workflows and define incident escalation procedures.
• Integrate monitoring platforms with ITSM tools to automate service ticket creation and routing.
• Establish governance standards for instrumentation, onboarding, and service monitoring best practices.
• Develop operational runbooks and technical documentation to transition from reactive to proactive monitoring.
